As the summer approaches, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your support this year and to provide you with a review of the season, as well as share with you some exciting news for the 2017-18 season.

Review of 2016-17 Season
The season began way back in September 2016 with training at St. Paul’s fields every Saturday morning. The younger teams (U6, U8 and U10) took part in many recreational matches as part of the Bahamas Youth Football League (BYFL) every other Saturday and participated in fun tournaments at the end of the season. These games were played home and away and their development from September to April has been significant. The U12’s entered two boys teams and a girls team into the Bahamas Football Association (BFA) leagues played at the National Fields (RALD) and the growth and success of all these teams was wonderful to see. The U17’s girls played at the same venue (11-a-side) and this young side showed a lot of grit, determination and great skills against some tough opposition. Here are the competitive highlights from the year:

  • U17 Girls – BYFL Runner’s Up and BFA Knockout Cup Champions
  • U12 Girls – BYFL Winners and BFA Knockout Cup Champions
  • U12 Boys – BYFL Winners

With Thanks
We would like to thank our major sponsor Capital Union Bank (CUB) for their tremendous support and innovative ideas throughout the season, including personal training balls and bags. Our additional sponsor, Cornertrader.com, have also been hugely supportive to ensure a successful season.

A huge thank you to our coaches. Without your dedicated hard work and commitment throughout the year, the players would not have enjoyed this season as much. It is your enthusiasm, knowledge and patience that helps develop these young players and, more importantly, provides them with an enjoyable and fun experience throughout the season.

Parents – thank you for your commitment throughout the season – attending games and cheering on in a positive manner. And your children – the players – we thank you for all your hard work, dedication and enthusiasm – you are the reason why we all do this……thank you all!

Without all of our volunteers, parents, players and supporters, the club would not be the success it is today and we thank you all.
